Thursday, August 19th, 2010Mia’s birth story
Tuesday, August 17th, 2010I just can’t believe just five weeks ago we were in the hospital waiting to meet our little Mia. When I see these pictures, the emotions of the whole birthing process comes rushing back to me. It is an emotional time where at one end you are happy that your pregnancy is coming to an end, but then at the same time a little scared and overwhelmed at what lies ahead of you. I am so happy that I decided to ask Lindsey from Green Apple Photography to document this part of my life. She is a talented film/digital photographer who has a style that I just fell in love with. You can view her current work here and her portfolio here.
I made a slideshow of the whole event here. Music used with permission by Amy Seeley.
More pictures to come!

Horne Family
Monday, June 21st, 2010Snow’s Playtime {Father’s day movie}
Monday, May 31st, 2010
I thought Father’s day this year was the first Sunday of this month, but it ends up to be the third so Becky is going to have a hard time keeping this a secret. But I guess the earlier you get it done the less you have to scramble at the last minute for a Father’s day gift idea! We had a blast doing all the little activities that Becky suggested-painting, dress-up, reading books and being outside. This is basically what they do together all day long before their daddy gets home. If you know Rasty, keep this a secret till Father’s day!
We still have a few spots left for the Father’s Day Special if anybody is still interested! Contact me here!

Christensen Family
Saturday, May 22nd, 2010My sister and I had the opportunity to document these small little moments of the Christensen family. We couldn’t have asked for better weather considering all the rain we’ve been getting lately. The best part of the film shoot was when a small aircraft flew right above us unexpectedly. The boys certainly got excited and we were so happy we got that on record! Enge did such a great job with directing them. And check out her past work here. If you would like to see this clip in HD please click here.

George family
Friday, May 14th, 2010The weather was doing so good up until we started to take pictures! Why should I not be surprised! It was very very windy and the temperature also dropped a few degrees! I tell you this Utah weather is driving me crazy. My white picket fence that I had planned to use blew over and all the flowers would not stay put. Oh well, we hurried and took the shots that were needed. The girls did a wonderful job and Zander was just a doll! By the way, the majority of the props were all from Mindy who has just tons of great stuff for photo shoots. Mindy made the bow tie that Zander is wearing so be sure to order some from her on her website. Also, I added a little yellow tint in post process just to give it a different look. Hope it looks okay!

cupcakes
Saturday, May 1st, 2010Cupcakes from Enge Chen on Vimeo.
Kelii is out of town for a while so I am left home with the kids all day long! My thoughtful sister Enge volunteered to come and stay with us for a night just to keep me company. We had all the ingredients needed for a quick cupcake baking session and a lot of time on our hands. So what started out as what we thought would be a quick hour to make the cupcakes turned out to be a four hour long ordeal. After naps, two meals and several breaks, we were able to finish the task! Whew! If you choose to watch this clip please don’t judge my flawed baking skills and dirty oven! Just warning you!
It was a fun afternoon and the kids loved it. Thanks Enge for this little piece of memory that we can treasure forever. I love watching Kenji and Emi’s faces while they view the clip over and over again. This mini film will be priceless in years to come!
Here goes the plug: anyone interested in doing something like this for their family please contact me! She is doing a portfolio building rate right now through the end of May so don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
