Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

With Father’s day around the corner we thought it would be fun to offer something that would guarantee to tug at the hearts of the fathers and grandfathers in your life. All you have to do is show up with your little kiddies at a location of your choice and we will film you and your kids doing an activity. We will talk before hand to arrange a session that is both unique and memorable for you and your family. After the session, a 3-4 minute mini-film will be custom edited to your favorite song. In addition, you will have an online proofing gallery of all still images from the session in which you will then choose your favorite picture to enlarge. The final DVD and 11×14 mounted image will be presented to you gift wrapped and ready to go for Father’s day. Contact me before the first of June in order to give us ample time to make the Father’s day deadline. The first person to contact me or Enge Films will have this special offer at $150-a $25 savings!

Close to the end of the shoot….Just let them do what they want….

Man these guys made me work hard to get the shots that I wanted! I have had the privilege of seeing them grow from little infants to two little fireballs! They are just the most adorable kids with so much energy in them! We worked on getting them together in the very beginning and then after about 20 minutes into the shoot they were ready to run around. Can’t blame them! The main thing for me wasto capture them having fun and just being themselves. That is when I get the best expressions!

I had the privilege of photographing these Devan and Tessa last year about this time and I am so amazed how big they have grown! Tessa was barely walking and had to prop herself on a chair. Look at her now! img_9155blogimg_9205blogimg_9113blog

Here is another canvas template that I played around with tonight. I just love the interaction between these two! They were hilarious together. I think I told them to whisper something like “You have ladybugs in your ear” which got me these reactions. Who knew that would be so funny:)

Baby Zander

Friday, May 15th, 2009

I just wanted to show Zander’s mom this cute collage that I put together. I found the template on Simply Canvas’ website as a 16×20 canvas, but I think it would be great as a birth announcement as well. I love those lips! It’s a wonderful trait that runs in the family!xanderblog

Purple flowers

img_9029blogimg_9045blogimg_9035blogimg_9068blog

So my husband told me about his little spot that he drives through each day that has a field of purple flowers that would be perfect for pictures. I was so excited to take Kenji and Emi there because I had yet to do outside pictures with them. We wanted to do this maybe a week ago but the weather had been cold and either the kids weren’t feeling good or something would come up. Finally today I told my husband that we needed to do this before the flowers go away! Well, we met up after work and I figured we only had 15 minutes before they both go crazy or more like I would go crazy. I don’t know what it is, I have all the patience in the world when it comes to photographing other people’s kids but I find myself losing my cool with these two. I skip the techniques that I use on other kids to make them laugh because they don’t work on my kids! So to make a long story short, here are a few that I got within a short amount of time. Maybe next time I can get Emi to give me a good smile instead of doing the “bugs bunny” look.

kaysia-30x12blog1

Now my clients will be able to order custom framing from me! This is a 30 x 12 frame that fits 3 5×5 portraits in a custom matted panel. The great thing about this is that you can can put a photo series from a session showing three different expressions from the same pose. I offer this with the baby plan that I introduced in my email newsletter. The baby plan is $49 for a whole year of photography capturing 3mo, 6 mo and 1 year milestone stages. At the end of the year each client receives a panel similar to the one shown here with a 5×5 portrait from each session. If anyone is interested in the baby plan please let me know!
