I usually don’t post process my pictures this way because it takes way to long, but I knew what Angie wanted so I thought I would show her a little teaser of this afternoon’s photo session.   Halle was a good sport considering how cold the weather was and that we were cutting into her nap time.  I forgot to ask you Angie where you got your awesome boots!  You did a great job coordinating all the outfits to match the urban look that seems to be so popular these days.   I will post a little more later this week, but here is one for now!

Monkey play

Emi is a little sensitive these days. She can sense when I am upset at her and her reaction is similar to what I do when I feel like someone is upset at me-I get a little sad too. I guess she inherited that quality from me, wanting to make everyone happy, which is quite impossible. It is something that I am still working on. Anyways, the other day I got upset at her and of course she goes into her little corner to pout for a few minutes. Then from the corner of my eye I see Emi approaching me with a puppet in her hand. Then the monkey faces me saying, “Don’t be mad at Emi. Okay?” I was trying to keep a straight face. It was the hardest thing for me to not laugh and just forget about why I was upset at her. I know she gets this from her dad because he talks to Emi through her stuffed animals as well. This made my day! Thanks Emi for helping me realize that I do need to lighten up a bit more these days.

My Kenji Bug

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

kenji-collage_blog

My little bug is now 5 months old! Where did the time all go? I remember with my first, time went so slow as I looked forward to every little milestone she made. Just the other day he started to eat solids and then I found that he could roll across our living room all by himself. I have to remember to record these stages before he grows out of them fast.  I know all mothers out there can attest to the fact that with each subsequent child life just gets busier!
