My dear friends, the Ings, surprised me with this lovely piece of art from Edible Arrangements. My husband got it before I got home and tried to pass it off as something that he put together and being as gullible as I am I thought “oh what a thoughtful husband!” Well, turned out he didn’t get away with it considering the card was signed by the Ings anyways. I thought it was so pretty, I had to take a picture of it! Thank you Ings for being so thoughtful-you really didn’t have to-it was a great way to get together again!

The Davies family is truly a great inspiration to me and to many people in our community. McKenna (cute girl with the red bow) will be heading back to the hospital in the next few days to undergo a bone marrow transplant. She is a cancer survivor for the second time in about 3 years and now she will have to face hopefully one more trial to return back to normal life. I admire her patience and her courage at such a young age for most teenagers at this time busy themselves with movies, boys, gossip and music. McKenna, on the other hand, has spent a bulk of her time receiving treatments and making numerous visits to the hospital. Bless her family, they have been there for her through thick and thin. I know they have grown stronger as a family through this experience and have fostered a greater bond with each other as well. I thank them for their example.
To follow McKenna’s story please go here! I promise you will be touched by her story!

Today was one of those days where I realize how blessed I am! I am surrounded by good friends, wonderful neighbors and a loving family. Truly that is all that really matters in the end-your relationship with the people around you. One wish that I have on this day is that I will never take what I have for granted. So a big hug and kiss for everybody that has touched my life in someway or another!
My husband woke up before anybody got up today to get me these lovely flowers. He put a lot of thought and effort into making this bday a special one! Thank you Kelii for being so thoughtful and kind-I am blessed to have you in my life!

Just a quick teaser for now!

I think I may be the best at picking the most windy and coldest day to do a photo shoot! Flashback-Pearson’s family shoot;) The James family did really well despite the wind chill and I was especially impressed with their littlest one-Jolie. She just has a sweet demeanor and did not even cry one bit the whole entire shoot. Sorry Sanae-Kenji wasn’t that good for you! I love some of the candid moments posted here because it just goes to show what really goes on during these photo shoots. Thanks James family for being so forgiving and patient with me! I need to mention that Sanae is a really awesome photographer and you can check out her work here! Her style reflects a modern flair that consists of lots of color and texture! She has all the tools to make your family look like rockstars! Go on over to her blog!
