One of my goals before the end of the year is to document my grandpa who is 95 years old. I am blessed to have him live only 30 minutes away from me. He moved to the states with my grandmother 10 years ago so he could be closer to family members. Three years ago, my grandmother’s sudden made it hard for my grandpa to adjust to being a alone. If there is one word that would describe him at this point it would be resiliency. He has gone through one surgery after another, battled cancer, dealt with being without his wife, and still he hasn’t skipped a beat. I sure hope that when I am his age I can still function on my own and be in the kind of health he is in today. I am grateful that I can learn from him.
I thought Father’s day this year was the first Sunday of this month, but it ends up to be the third so Becky is going to have a hard time keeping this a secret. But I guess the earlier you get it done the less you have to scramble at the last minute for a Father’s day gift idea! We had a blast doing all the little activities that Becky suggested-painting, dress-up, reading books and being outside. This is basically what they do together all day long before their daddy gets home. If you know Rasty, keep this a secret till Father’s day!

I told Jason and Carrie that I would only use film for their session, but we had just enough light at the end of their photo shoot for me to pull out the digital camera. Enge was still filming and directing them so I didn’t want to waste any time. I thought I would just capture the last few moments of them before the sun went to bed. Here are a few teasers before I get the rest of the session back from the lab. Love their interaction with each other. Things we did moments before these shots-skipping rocks, climbing trees and having a picnic. Jason and Carrie found this location which was so beautiful. They both love discovering new places where no one has really gone before. Thanks for an easy going session-you guys made it so easy for both of us to capture your natural selves. Can’t wait to see more!

We will talk before hand to arrange a session that is both unique and memorable for you and your family. After the session, a 3-4 minute mini-film will be custom edited to your favorite song. In addition, you will have an online proofing gallery of all still images from the session in which you will then choose your favorite picture to enlarge. My sister and I had the opportunity to document these small little moments of the Christensen family. We couldn’t have asked for better weather considering all the rain we’ve been getting lately. The best part of the film shoot was when a small aircraft flew right above us unexpectedly. The boys certainly got excited and we were so happy we got that on record!
